June 13, 2011 - No Hitter

I haven't posted in a couple of days, but I got a new card last week and three more over the weekend.

Don Aase (P) - June 11, 2011 - Response time: 53 days

Teams: Red Sox, Angels, Orioles, Mets, Dodgers

Mr. Aase was an All-Star in 1986. In 13 years he had a better than .500 win percentage and worked primarily out of the bullpen. I thank him very much for signing.

Mark Knudson (P) - June 9, 2011 - Response time: 58 days

Teams: Astros, Brewers, Rockies

Mr. Knudson's career was cut short by injuries but during his career, Knudson posted wins over three of the four members of the 4,000 strikeout club, Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens and Randy Johnson. I thank him very much for signing.

Terry Leach (P) - June 11, 2011 - Response time: 16 days

Teams: Mets, Royals, Twins, White Sox

Mr. Leach is notable for putting in one of the greatest pitching performances in New York Mets history. Rick Ownbey was scheduled to start on October 1, 1982, the second to last day of the season, however, a blister on his throwing hand forced Mets manager George Bamberger to start Leach in his place. Leach ended up tossing a 10-inning one-hitter against the Philadelphia Phillies; the only hit being a fifth inning triple by Luis Aguayo. Mr. Leach was a World Series Champion in 1991 with the Twins. I would like to thank him very much for signing and say hello to Dave and extend my sympathies for last nights NBA Finals loss (yep, he's a Heat fan).

Paul Noce (2B/SS) - June 10, 2011 - Response time: 10 days

Teams: Cubs, Reds

Mr. Noce had a rather brief Major League career but I would still like to thank him very much for signing.
