Butler University plays this weekend, in the NCAA Final Four. Go Bulldogs!!!
Spike Owen (SS) - March 31, 2011 - Response time: 98 days
Teams: Mariners, Red Sox, Expos, Yankees, Angels
Mr. Owen was an unspectacular though solid defensive shortstop in the 80's and 90's. I thank him very much for signing and congratulate him on having an awesome name. I would also like to give a shout out to Caitlin, Liz and Mr. and Mrs. M, also Wes, and finally Brianna, Tori and Mr. and Mrs. C. If you're a friend of mine who is a Red Sox fan and you're not mentioned, then you're probably not obnoxious enough to have made the list. :-)
Pete Incaviglia (OF) - March 31, 2011 - Response time: 22 days
Teams: Rangers, Tigers, Astros, Phillies, Chiba Lotte Marines (Japan), Phillies, Orioles, Yankees, Tigers, Astros.
Mr. Incaviglia, aside from having a name worthy of a Roman Emperor, is a font of baseball trivia. He has a rule which restricts trading drafted players named after him, the Pete Incaviglia Rule, and is the all-time NCAA Division I all-time leader in home runs in a career and home runs in a season. He is also a member of the College Baseball Hall-of-Fame. I thank him for signing.
