Rick Honeycutt (P) - January 5, 2012 - Response time: 331 days

Teams: Mariners, Rangers, Dodgers, A's, Rangers, A's Yankees Cardinals

Mr. Honeycutt is only the second, that's right, the second Oakland Athletic who has responded. His card doubles my collection of 1988 A's. I have no idea why that is, but I really appreciate him responding all the same. He was twice an All-Star and matured into a control pitcher with an impressive playoff record. In 30 postseason games he was never the losing pitcher and didn't allow a run in either the 1988 or 1990 playoffs. He eventually evolved into Dennis Eckersley's setup man. His final two seasons, 1996 and 1997 he was the oldest player in Major League baseball. He is currently the pitching coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers. I thank him very much for signing.
