It's a sad day for Rowboat - TTM. As I was reading the paper today I saw an
obituary for Bob Forsch. Mr. Forsch signed for me in
late June and I received his card after just 11 days. He was on TV last Friday when he threw out the first pitch in Game 7 of the World Series. He was one of the very few pitchers in Major League history to throw more than one no-hitter in his career and the only St. Louis Cardinal with two; the only two ever thrown in old Busch Stadium. He is also one of the only pair of brothers (his bother Ken being the other half) to throw no-hitters. He was also a very good hitter, for a pitcher, with 12 home runs in his career. He won a World Series with the Cardinals in 1982. Last season he was the pitching coach for one of my favorite teams, the Billings Mustangs! I thank him again very much for signing and wish him the very best, where ever he is.
Bob Forsch
