Mr. Herzog was most famous for his years as Manager of the Cardinals and the Royals. In fact, in reference to his success as a player versus his success as a manager, Herzog once said, "Baseball has been good to me since I quit trying to play it." He managed the Cardinals to a World Series victory in 1982 and was selected Manager of the Year in 1985. In 2010 Mr. Herzog was inducted into the National Baseball Hall-of-Fame in Cooperstown, NY. He is the fourth hall-of-famer who has responded. His #24 has also been retired by the St. Louis Cardinals. I thank him very much for signing.
