Mr. Lyons had a four year minor league career before joining the Mets. He won a A championship in 1983, a AA championship in 1984, a AAA championship in 1985 and the World Series with the Mets in 1986. I've never even heard of something like this before but that's pretty amazing. Otherwise Mr. Lyons had a long, if undistinguished career. He was most often a backup but his poor hitting prevented him from becoming a consistent starter. I thank him very much for signing.
