Mr. Belliard was known for being an outstanding defensive shortstop during a 16 year career that included a World Series championship. He also holds the Major League record for most at-bats between home runs. He came to the plate 1,869 times before hitting a home run on September 26, 1997. His first, and only other, Major League home run was hit on May 5, 1987. He is currently the bench coach for the Detroit Tigers. I thank him for signing.
