I got six cards over the weekend including two I sent out on Monday!  One of them I got back on Friday (4 days!!!!) and one on Saturday (5 days!!!).  Also on Friday, to compliment the card with the shortest return time I think I will ever receive, I also set the record for the longest, at almost five and a half months! Crazy!

Tom Brunansky (OF) - April 8, 2011 - Response time: 4 days!!!!

The most remarkable thing about this card is the speed at which it was returned.  It went out Monday afternoon and made it to California, was signed, mailed and returned to Virginia in approximately 96 hours.  That is a tribute to the United States Postal Service.  Rain or Shine.  Mr. Brunansky had his best years with the Twins where he was an All-Star (1985) and a World Series Champion (1987).  I thank him for signing.


Steve Buechele (3B) - April 8, 2011 - Response time: 163 days!!!!

Teams: Rangers, Pirates, Cubs

In an interesting piece of trivia, Mr. Buechele's college roommate at Stanford was none other than NFL Hall-of-Fame quarterback John Elway.  I thank him for signing.


Jay Aldrich (P) - April 9, 2011 - Response time: 8 days

Steve Balboni (DH/1B) - April 9, 2011 - Response time: 5 days

Teams: Yankees, Royals, Mariners, Yankees, Rangers

Mr. Balboni won the World Series with the Royals in 1985 and was briefly accused of starting the Curse of the Balboni.  I thank him for signing.  I'd like to say hi to Ethan, as well as Roger and the KC crew!


Ted Power (P) - April 9, 2011 - Response time: 23 days

Mr. Power played for nine teams (the Reds twice) in a 12 year career.  That's just impressive.  He is currently the pitching coach for the AAA Louisville Bats.  I thank him for signing.


Ernie Whitt (C) - April 9, 2011 - Response time: 16 days

Teams: Red Sox, Blue Jays, Braves, Orioles

Mr. Whitt was a beloved catcher for the Blue Jays and the last original Toronto Blue Jay.  I thank him very much for signing and I'd like to give a big shout out to James.  Go Jays!!!
