February 23, 2011

After a bit of a drought, perhaps compounded by the long weekend (though some of us didn't get the day off Monday), I finally got three more cards.  All three were ones I'd sent out a long time ago too.

Joel Skinner (C) - February 22, 2011 - Response time: 118 days

Teams: White Sox, Yankees, Indians

Mr. Skinner sets a new record for longest response time.  His was the 28th card I sent out, wayyyyyy back on October 27th.  That's 118 days, or almost four months.  I thank him very much for signing and I would like to give a shout out to my Yankee friends, Mark and Evan.

Juan Samuel (2B) - February 22, 2011 - Response time: 91 days

Teams (Player): Phillies, Mets, Dodgers, Royals, Reds, Tigers, Royals, Blue Jays
Teams (Manager): Orioles

Mr. Samuel is my 5th Phillie (the most for any team thus far) and is also an old card.  His is just over three months old.  Mr. Samuel was a three time All-Star and I thank him very much for signing.  I would like to give a shout out to Rosemary and Kristen, my favorite Phillies fans.

Jose Cruz (OF) - February 22, 2010 - Response time: 109 days

Teams: Cardinals, Astros, Yankees

My third aged response is Mr. Cruz. Mr. Cruz, perhaps most famous now because of his son, Jose Cruz Jr., is an all-time Astros great and they have retired his #25.  He was a two time All-Star selection and I thank him very much for signing.  I would also like to take a moment to mention my favorite Astros fan, my grandfather.

Cards sent: 326
Responses: 54
Response Rate: 16.56%
Average Response time: 37.09 days (that's over a four day increase from just these three cards!)
